Novel Philosophy Academy is devoted to helping you build your intellectual posture for the purpose of living a meaningful life.
How can we help you?
To many of us, philosophy seems to have little relevance to our day-to-day lives. Rarely do we to turn to the writings of Aristotle or Plato when we are craving guidance in our relationships, jobs or personal well-being, and with indifferent resignations, we often dismiss philosophy as being far too esoteric and complicated a subject for our practical life concerns. We believe this to be a deeply regrettable view of what philosophy is and can mean to our lives. At our academy, we teach philosophy as a guide for living on earth, distilling its abstract ideas into graspable lessons for the purpose of improving our personal development. We think that a good place to begin is by investigating life’s most rudimentary questions. Select the question you wish to learn more about and discover the tools we have to offer.

Who am I?
It is only once we discover who we are that we can identify what our purpose in life can be. Yet grappling with this task can be frustratingly difficult, particularly when one considers the nuanced nature of our characters and the complexity of the ideas we are unceasingly exposed to. Knowing ourselves is about understanding what makes us human beings, why we love or hate our jobs and how we’ve come to evaluate our convictions. Philosophy distills this process, easing the method of learning about our identities so that it is simpler to comprehend. We offer a series of classes that investigate these themes so that we can pursue a life in harmony with our greatest desires.
Where am I?
No one likes feeling helpless and lost; all of us need to know where we are in order to become the sovereign authors of our lives and achieve our most ardent pursuits. However, the degree to which we possess this autonomy is gauged by our fundamental views of life. Regrettably, many of us operate on the premise that the nature of life is riddled by illusionary appearances and inexplicable events that spring from arbitrary wishes, making life impossible to deal with. If we accept that life is at the command of unruly external forces, we severely undermine our chances of successfully taking command of our lives — this is why we urgently need philosophy. We believe that each of us has the power of directing the course of our lives, which is why we have devised a series of classes that will show you how.
How do I know?
Our capacity to achieve self-confidence relies wholly on how certain we are of what we know and what is true. Yet how often do we catch ourselves feeling unsure about the relationships that we are in, in the veracity of the news, or in our career choices? Doubts form the ugly roots of our insecurities, making decisions an unpleasant and burdensome experience. Gaining self-esteem comes from an unexpected source: reason, our means of understanding ourselves and our relationship to the universe — the chief concern of philosophy. We teach a variety of classes on how to utilize reason so that we can engineer a life of confidence in our relationships, careers, and personal lives.
How should I live?
All of us want to live meaningful lives, but it is often tricky to navigate how we ought to do it. There are numberless suggestions and methods that profess to show us how, but it is becoming increasingly troublesome to differentiate that which is good from the bad, and as a result, our actions are dictated by the unconscious judgments of our minds. We believe that achieving a fulfilling life can only be gained rationally by living according to a demonstrable code of values, rather than from a code values that are taken on faith. Discovering them requires the science of philosophy, namely morality. We have devised a set of classes that will show us what kinds of values are necessary in order to pursue a fulfilling life.
How should I treat others?
We live in society, therefore we should learn how to navigate it. Building and managing healthy relationships with one another – be it in business or personal relationships – can be a complicated task, particularly when one considers the socio-economic and political mechanisms at work. A healthy society functions optimally under the source which fuels it — individual rights. It is thus crucial that we understand what individual rights are. However, many of us seem to have different conceptions about what this really means; what are rights? And are there any true or false answers? Thankfully, we can resolve these misunderstandings through philosophy. We have developed a range of classes that will show us how to build meaningful relationships with one another by becoming moral traders of values – both spiritually and materially – for a rich and innovative society.
How can I fuel my life?
Our answers to all the questions we have will ultimately affect one inescapable question: ‘What can I become?’, a profound curiosity about the existing possibilities available to us as individuals, rather than the possible jobs or titles we can gain. This is the unique role of art — to fuel our consciousness. That is why, amid seeing our favorite heroes in literature or movies, or while contemplating beautiful symphonies or sculptures, we experience feelings that pronounce ‘this is what life means to me’. The power of art lies in its ability to condense a highly abstract philosophy into concretes; art allows us to see, for example, the values of a hero in action, and to decide: ‘that’s what I want to become’. Unfortunately, today’s culture seems to take little notice, offering motivational talks in lieu of art when we are desperately seeking guidance. That is why we have devised a series of classes that offer tools on how to learn and experience literature and art in a meaningful way.
